We are a modern, state of the art outpatient surgery center located in the heart of San Francisco. We are in search of a full-time Surgical/Operating Room (OR) Technician. We are open Monday through Fridays, no weekends or call schedule. We have two Full-Time positions available (Full-Time has option of 4 - 8 hours shifts or 5 - 8 hours shifts).

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention
• Monitors par levels of all surgical instruments and supplies
• Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments
• Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques (i.e. instruments and needle counts, isolation techniques, terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms, etc.)
• Demonstrates knowledge of specific technique surgical skills
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the ASC
• Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirement relative to their age specific needs
• Provides care needed as described in the ASC's policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification 
• At least one-year of experience in surgery

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Operating Room/Surgical Technician Certification
• Current BLS Certification

• Salary to commensurate with experience
