Hayes Valley Surgery Center is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will clean, sanitize, and maintain multiple suites in a healthcare facility. It is required that they have healthcare experience. The role will also include responsibilities such as, but not limited to, supporting Operating Room staff with supply needs, restocking supplies in designated areas and housing equipment at the end of the day.

The ideal person for this position has experience in healthcare facilities, shows initiative, enjoys working independently as well as together with a team and has good communication skills.

Responsibilities: 

• Clean –  Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the assigned property.  Clean and disinfect common areas such as the kitchen, break room, changing rooms, bathroom and other designated areas throughout the facility. Wipe and dust surfaces in rooms and clean mirrors and counters.  Vacuum and clean floors. Remove and replace linens, bedspreads, and blankets.  
• Stock – Assist in stocking surgical suites, pre-op and PACU areas. Support OR staff, as needed, with supply needs.
• Other – Pick up and empty trash and linen containers.  If applicable, notify maintenance if something is not working correctly.  
• Hours -- Monday through Friday 12pm-8:30pm. 

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull
